I think the readers, and myself, sometimes take it for granted that the characters in the comic know just as much as we do. When I was putting together these comics, it occurred to me that Dr. Wily shouldn't have any idea who the hell Bob is. While they did technically talk to each other in the third game, they've never met face to face. Besides, Dr. Wily is notoriously bad about remembering who people are. This was a stupid idea I had. Brian Clevinger over at 8-Bit Theater had started a segment called "Twinkin' Out with Red Mage", and I thought I'd try to copy it by having fans asking question of the Helmeted Author. As you'll see, it quickly petered out.
