I was hoping to set up some animosity between X and George, with the intention of possible using that as a catalyst for X's turn at being the annual villain when his storyline eventually came around. Naturally, I completely forgot about it by the time it actually happened, so I had to go in a different direction. This was the first Helmeted Author Quip is quite a while. I don't recall why I did it, other than I hadn't done it in a while, and wanted to remind the readers of Helmut's existence.
