First, let me say that Proto Man's snarky line in the first panel is the sort of quip that I love. Second, when I came up with the idea of god-moding, explosive nanobots, I knew there'd have to be some way for George to survive them. I mean, he's a title character. The problem was how. Naturally the fact that he has electrical powers would suggest that maybe he would automatically short them out, but you'd think if evil Mega Man was so smart, he would have taken that into account and insulated them against it. So while it could be explained away (or "fan-wanked"), it was still something that could be explored in a future storyline, which is exactly what I decided to do. Third, "a wizard did it" had just started becoming an internet meme, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon.
