While we now know Bob is perfectly capable of doing exactly what Dr. Light is describing here, neither I nor the readers knew it at the time. So while it's still possible that Vic was in Mega Man's head all this time, the evil Mega Man campaign was still Helmut's doing... unless he was already working with Bob by this point... or unless they used time travel to come back in time and set this all up... No. That's too convoluted even for this comic. Also, while I have no excuse for the punchline in this comic, you do have to admit that old men sometimes have a distinctive smell.
