This here is the first time many readers got a real inkling of what I had in mind for the First Annual Robot Tournament. I envisioned a huge tournament, showing each battle in two or three comics, working my way down to the last two contestants before Dr. Wily attacked. During the early days of this particular storyline, I went to the message board and told the forumgoers what I had in mind, and that I would be accepting fan entries into the contest. I already had a list of established characters I was going to include, but I had room for quite a few fan entries. Then I just had to go through the fan entries and pick the best ones.
