The Second Megaman Game | Quick Man's Attack |

While I was working on this storyline, I was also reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the first time, in preparation for the release of the movie versions. And when I read Gollum's lines, I started imagining that he was saying them very quickly, especially when he starts rambling to himself about his precious. I started thinking that he sounded a bit like a hyperactive five-year-old on a sugar buzz, and that maybe that's how Quick Man would talk normally. That line of thinking lead to this part of the storyline. But what I find most interesting about these comics is the number of people that told me they enjoyed them without having any clue as to the reference. They simply enjoyed the comics because they think a hyperactive Quick Man is funny, which I guess it is, but didn't they wonder why he kept talking about his "precious"? |
