The Second Megaman Game | The Introduction of Wood Man |
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Okay, seriously, "Wood Man"? Who thought that was a good idea? Is he supposed to be made of wood, or just resemble wood? And why would you build a robot that supposed to resemble wood in the first place? It's not like the robots in this game were ever supposed to have occupations outside of helping Dr. Wily take over the world, like in the first game. And the name! Don't get me wrong, I love the name. Sexually suggestive names make coming up with punchlines incredibly easy. But come on, pre-adolescent males are supposed to be the demographic for games like these, and I think we all know that boys that age will giggle at anything even remotely sexual. Hell, I still can't talk about Uranus or the Galactic Bulge without giggling a little to myself. Anyway, I should also point out that by this time, I had already noticed the potential for Mega Man to start losing his memory and was actively foreshadowing it, as you can see in the first panel. |
