I felt I owed the readers an explanation for the lack of comic, so I attempted to explain the point in the first frame, followed by an attempted explanation for Rick's work ethic in the second.

In order to move the story along, I had to get rid of Rick and introduce another author, Chick Bot. I was tempted to use more authors throughout this storyline, but given that many readers were unaware of the rest of the comics, I thought I should keep it to just these two.

I didn't necessarily choose Rick and Chick Bot because their comics were the most popular. I chose them because they were both fairly well-known in the community and I thought their comics worked rather well within the context of this storyline. Some of the other subcomics wouldn't have worked so well. Can you imagine if George and Proto Man visited Plague's comic?

In the fourth frame, when Chick Bot introduces herself, George was originally going to introduce himself as the "Grand Dragon" of the Ice Cream Clan, instead of the "Ultimate Lord". I thought it had a better flow, but Liss completely nixed that idea. She thought it was too reminiscent of the KKK and didn't want me to put it in the comic.

And in the last frame, if you are unaware, the name of Chick Bot's comic is "Taco: The Comic".
