If one thing was going to salvage this fiasco, I was hoping it would be the inclusion of different viewpoints and angles. In the first batch of hand-drawn comics, every shot was from the front, mostly because that was the only angle I had worked with for the characters. Here, as I hope you can tell, I was trying out a three-quarters perspective. Unfortunately, it sucks. For starters, why are their shoulders so far back? Any why does every character seem to have his arms behind his back? Why? Because I suck at drawing, that's why. Now that I think about it, another thing I find particularly sad about this second batch is the complete lack of backgrounds that I made such a big deal about in the first batch. The shot in the third panel is about as extensive as it gets. Actually, that shot doesn't look so bad. Maybe I should've just used that style for the whole comic. Wouldn't that have been an interesting (and minimalistic) style? |
