Given enough time, I figured the readers would eventually figure out that these two are the future alternate versions of Mega Man and Bass from the parallel dimension where they're smart, but to save everyone some time and frustraction, I thought I'd have the characters mention it directly. And if I can be a bit self-deprecating at the same time, why not?
