In Megaman 5, a new robotic helper is introduced named Eddie. Even though he wasn't actually supposed to have been built by Dr. Cossack, I thought it would neat to introduce him here as though he was. Also, yes, I'm aware that the computer from the Heart of Gold is already called Eddie, but what was I supposed to do? Let's just pretend that Ran didn't know that "Eddie" was already taken.
