The Fifth Megaman Game | Fifth Annual Halloween Comic |

There I was, October fast coming to a close, and I realized that I was going to have to sprite costumes for all of the characters again. The previous year was Final Fantasy characters, but I just couldn't come up with anything decent for this year, and I really did try. So instead of costumes, I thought I'd put together a fake trailer for a zombie movie with the comic characters. I'm actually quite proud of it, though I have to admit there are some things I would have fixed if I'd had the time. For example, Mega Man says that he doesn't feel "too good", and then George responds with how he doesn't looked "very good". If he was indeed responding to Mega Man's line, he should have said "too good" back. As it is, it's a bit jarring... These are the things that keep me up at night... For the Cataclysm movies, I'd gotten Liss to do Roll's voice. I wanted to get her to record a few lines for me here, but she was still in Canada at the time and her mike wasn't working, so I ended up recording her lines myself, and I'm especially proud that you'd never have known that if I hadn't told you. At least, I think I'm proud. Should I be proud that I can apparently mimic my wife so well? In the end, I think the fans liked it. They were a little disappointed that I didn't do costumes, but I think many of them enjoyed this more. And as many of them pointed out, how in the hell is it easier to put together a Flash animation like this than to just sprite some stupid costumes? |
