So, to be clear, Dr. Wily's plan is to kill the Author because he doesn't want to be the villain again. Yeah, he really thought that plan through. All of the events in this part of the storyline, more or less since Dr. Wily decided not to properly lose, were in preparation for the second coming of the hand-drawn comics, which I had planned for the 1st of October. I decided that since I was starting the hand-drawn stuff, I might as well end the sprite-comic, and killing the Author seemed like as good a way as any at the time. Plus, seeing as how the characters didn't really want to be in the comic anyway, why would they have a problem with the Author being killed and the comic ending?
