I don't suppose a VHS tape of the First Annual Robot Tournament from the Sixth Megaman Game really qualifies as an "ancient artifact", but you get the idea. And since finding that artifact ultimately leads to the end of the comic, you could say that discovering it does forever change his life. Almost like I knew what I was doing when I wrote that line.
