| Personally, I prefer to do all of my computer programming in a text editor. I don't care for IDEs or that sort of thing. I mean, I don't mind it when the program that I'm writing in can detect coding errors on the fly, but I hate it when it tries to add in its own brackets or auto-indents. If I want a curly bracket there, I'll do it myself, damnit. That being said, I guess I can understand why so many people use them, but it seems like an unnecessary crutch to me. |
