Once I'd started this storyline, I suddenly realized I had no idea where I was going to go with it. I mean, Rush was necessary for the next storyline, and this storyline was supposed to feed into it, but it just sort of staggers along until then. Rush and Treble are still technically speaking in dog-speak, but since it was just the two of them, I didn't feel it necessary to keep reminding the readers. I'd started trying to come up with cute little modifications I could make to the Helmut plushie, and this was one of them.
