The only thing worse than being stuck in 8-bit form in purple spandex is being stuck in 8-bit form in purple spandex that clashes with the helmet and blaster you've just been given. Though, I suppose if his boots, gloves, and hot-pants/diaper are plastic or metal, it's really more like blue spandex.
