That metal box, along with the spring and boxing-glove-thingy, are straight out of Spring Man's stage in Megaman 7. I needed a device that might be able to send the Author home, and this sprite caught my eye as I was perusing the collections over at Heatman's Homepage (now Sprites, Inc.). One thing that's always kinda bothered me about this comic is that it really doesn't make any sense. Why would the Author need help getting out of the comic? He didn't need any help getting in, right?
