As a physicist, you'd think I would've noticed such a glaring physical impossibility, but I totally didn't noticed that if Alternate Bass is indeed breaking the sound barrier, they wouldn't be able to hear him coming because he'd get there before the sound did. That being said, it was still too good an idea to throw away, so I didn't bother changing it. I just said that maybe Alternate Bass had to travel in a circle to get up enough speed while indoors, so he's not necessarily traveling toward them when he hit Mach 1, so they would able to hear it. Sure, why not?
