For readers unfamiliar with the Tonberry, he's a Final Fantasy monster known for being fairly difficult. Typically only armed with a kitchen knife and a lantern, the creature slowly makes its way toward the player's party, turn after turn. If the player is unable to defeat it before it reaches them, its attack is quite brutal and often lethal. Simply put, if unprepared, the Tonberry is very dangerous, hence Proton Man's reaction above.
