We came into this storyline in the middle, so we already know that's Non-Alternate Mynd, but at this point, Proto Man still thinks regular Mynd has somehow returned to finish the job he started so long ago. And given it was about time for the annual villain attack, the Return of Mynd sounds about as plausible as anything else.
