I think, by this point, I had decided that all the bad sprite jokes and self-deprecating jokes were getting pretty old. So what to do? Why, make fun of them getting old, of course! When I first made this comic, I had forgotten that Mega Man wasn't supposed to know that "Break Man" was actually Proto Man. All of the dialogue had "Proto Man" instead of the correct "Break Man", and I had to retroactively change it all back when it was brought to my attention. You may have noticed that it's been a while since the last Helmeted Author Quip. For whatever reason, I just didn't bother making them for a while, and some of the fans were clamoring for more.
