Given that Zero is the cause of the Cataclysm, at least the Cataclysm that the Shadowy Author is familiar with, it make sense that it freaks the Author out. Also, the "Pfoof" effect employed by the Shadowy Author was supposed to be something of an indicator of his identity, as it's identical to the Author's. By this point, the Helmeted Author's inverted effect had been seen, but since he had started with an identical effect, this didn't necessarily mean anything, though I meant it to. Got all that?
