You would think Bob would first think to go to Dr. Light, given that he's the "good guy" and would be more likely to help Bob out of the goodness of his own heart. But aside from just wanting to kill Dr. Wily, Bob was probably curious as to why the event in this time period aren't syncing up with what he thought was supposed to be going on. I saw these cute little sprites and I thought they would look nice animated.
