In case you're wondering why Capcom never sued me, or even sent me a cease and desist, I'd like to think there are a couple of reasons.
First and foremost, this is a parody, so it's protected against copyright infringement. Since the early days, there's been a disclaimer on the bottom of the front page that this is all for entertainment purposes and not intended to infringe on any copyrights. Not that that would necessarily stop a company from sending a cease and desist if they wanted, but Capcom never bothered.
Second, I have made it a point not to make any profit on the site or the comic. I've never sold any merchandise with Megaman characters or Capcom-derived images on them, though there were a few with drawn versions of George. There were also some donations, but in terms of paid advertising, it pretty much all goes back into hosting costs.
Third, about half-way through the comic's run, Capcom announced that they would allow people to use their copyrighted images on fan websites, as long as it wasn't used for profit, and since my site pretty much fell right into that category, I felt I was about as protected as I could be, so since then, I haven't worried about it.
