In the Year 21XX | It's a 32-Bit Future |

I realized that if neither X nor Zero had a time machine with which to return to the future, it would solve my problem of why they were still in the present. Sure, it might be a bit irresponsible of Dr. Cain to send Zero back in time without a way to get home, but maybe he just assumed that, given all the time travel that's been going on in the present, Dr. Light would be capable of sending them back himself. Though, that makes their earlier offer to return the Mega Man of the past when they left a little disingenuous, doesn't it? Speaking of the Mega Man of the past, the Author sent him home at the same time he sent these two to the future, just in case anyone cares. Also, I think this is the first appearance of 32-bit sprites in the comic. I resisted including 32-bit sprites simply because they're much more complicated than lower bittage sprites and harder to work with. But I guess I figured by this point I was experienced enough to use them in a decent manner. |
