What I was trying to get at here is that since the energy George is outputting has to go somewhere, if he puts out even more energy, he might be able to figure out where it's all going, and overload it. Here he finds out that it's all being absorbed by Helmut, which is a bad thing for our villain. By the way, if you think about it, Bob and George themselves violate the conservation of energy, since where does their energy come from? For the sake of illusion, let's pretend they access some vast energy reserves through their mother's supernatural connection.
