If I'm going to make Mega Man blindingly stupid, I might as well go all the way, right?

You can't see it, but that first sign actually says "DR. WILY'S FORTRESS Just Ahead! And the last sign just says "GIANT SKULL" at the bottom, so you're not really missing anything.

I think Mega Man's line in the first panel was supposed to be an allusion to Winnie the Pooh.
