Like with any router, data can come and go, but it needs additional information in order for the router to know where it's going to or where it's coming from. Sure, technically the signals are non-directional, but the router has to know that the data is associated with your computer, or there's no data transfer. For the sake of simplicity, let's call this information a carrier signal. What they're saying here is that with the router broken, the data has no way to know where it should be sent. Sure, X could force the data out, but it would just go out and not be properly directed back to their bodies. If that makes sense. |
