Yeah, the current theory on "spontaneous human combustion" is that a small fire starts on the body, and the fire is fed by the melting body fat soaking into the clothes, much in the same way a candle's wick is fed by the melting wax. In this way, the body is slowly and completely consumed, often with extreme temperatures, without many objects nearby being damaged. Also, given that George himself is supernatural, Rush's comment in the third panel was about to be personally insulting. |
