The Attack of Bob | More Stalling |
|

Eventually I figured a way to finish the storyline, and once that happened, I didn't need to stall anymore. But whenever you introduce a character that's going to wrap up the battle very quickly, you can't just have him run in and kill things. No, first you've got to give the readers just a glimpse of him in the last panel to fuel speculation and entice them to come back the next day to find out what's going on. In this case, you can just imagine the original readers' thoughts upon seeing the Yellow Demon's leg right there. Is that the Yellow Demon? Is it back? Is this a different Yellow Demon? Is this a situation where the good guys figured they have nothing left to lose and unleashed an uncontrolled Yellow Demon on Bob in the hope that it would be able to destroy him, even at the risk of sacrificing George, whom they honestly had no real reason to care about yet? I love it when the fans speculate about what's going on in the comic... except when they guess correctly. But I love it when I come up with shit at the last minute and can make it look like I planned it from the very beginning. |
