For some reason, even though I knew I was going to call him Nate, "Nate" didn't really seem like something Dr. Light would name the reconstructed Yellow Demon. I started thinking about other famous robots, such as R2-D2, and I realized it might be more appropriate to give him some sort of alphanumeric identification. And hey, why not make it the l33t version of "Nate"?
