Just as Bass doesn't know what's going on or who George is, he also wasn't around for the battle with the Yellow Demon, so he has no idea what Nate's doing standing there. He does know, however, that Yellow Demons usually don't just stand around, not mauling things, so he probably feels some sort of obligation to let Mega Man know that it's there anyway, just in case it decides to start mauling things. "Wanna go do something stupid?" was something of a catch-phrase at the time, and I ended up putting a variation of it on a T-shirt.
