The Attack of Bob | The Portal Closes |
|
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I don't know how much sympathy the readers had for George or his predicament by this point, but I was hoping they would realize just how bad a thing it is to have the portal close behind Bob before George could follow him. As it was, readers were supposed to realize that if George was the only thing keeping Bob in check back in their homeworld, it's really screwed now. Have you ever been in a situation like this before, where you would give just about anything to turn time back a few minutes, to correct something that seems so terribly bad that you almost can't accept what's happened? Your brain locks up and you're not sure what to do. And in an extreme case of this, like right after a husband kills his wife, I've heard it could drive a person completely insane or cause an otherwise stable person to commit suicide. Yeah, that's the kind of thing George is going through right now. In George's case, he just ends up landing on his head, which I think is funny. |
