Rule Number 81: "If I am fighting with the hero atop a moving platform, have disarmed him, and am about to finish him off and he glances behind me and drops flat, I too will drop flat instead of quizzically turning around to find out what he saw." Likewise, I think if the hero suddenly yells out that there's something behind me, rather than assume he's lying, I will take the time to check. If I don't, and there was actually something there, then I'm dead. It's far better to look like a fool and let your enemy escape than to end up dead because you didn't believe him. As long as you're still alive, you can always find and kill him later, as frustrating as it might be. |
