And so Nate is the first character to die in this storyline. Well, second if you count Mike, but why would you do that? When I first conceived of this storyline, my intention was to kill off all the characters one by one. I thought that if the readers had emotionally invested enough in the characters to make them care about whether the characters lived or died, it would be an interesting exercise to see how they reacted to the characters' ritual executions. Yeah, I'm a bastard like that. But at least I'm not Joss Whedon.
