While this was technically still in the middle of the Attack of Mega Man storyline, does this mean that the Author abandoned the comic back then or here? Either way, he didn't show up again for a long time, at least from the perspectives of the characters. Also, clearly the Author is referring to the imminent attack by Helmut in the second panel.
