While this punchline sucks, I think the rest of the comic is worth it. You've got the undeniable creation of Vic, as well as a clear declaration of Bob's plans, though perhaps not the extend of Bob's plans. Also, I don't think Bob is talking about Satan in the last panel. I'm guessing he's talking about his paternal grandfather.
