It's difficult to pull out a blaster while one is being pointed at you. If that happens to you, remember that all you need to do is piss off your opponent to the point that they forget that they've got a blaster pointed at you and decide to rip you apart with their bare hands. When that happens, shoot them yourself. It's not a bad strategy as long as you don't hit the point where you've pissed them off enough that the just shoot you.
