I had Mynd return for two reasons. The first is that the fans had been clamoring for his return, and I'm always one to fulfill my fans' requests, though not necessarily in the way they actually want. I'm a cruel Author in that way. The second is that I thought it would be interesting to ramp up the danger in this storyline a little more, even if I never really intended for Mynd to do anything worthwhile.
