Luckily for me, by the time this storyline started, Megaman X-treme had already come out, so there were 8-bit sprites of X to use. But like his 16-bit sprites, the 8-bit sprites aren't sized properly to fit with the classic Megaman's 8-bit sprites. I had to resize them, though this time only vertically. Also, X's 8-bit color scheme didn't quite match the rest of the sprites, so I recolored him based on 8-bit Mega Man's regular color scheme.

Just like the 16-bit time suit, Mega Man's 8-bit time suit is nothing more than a recolor of the Rush Jet Adapter. As for the special effect from the first panel, it's been so long I can't be sure what I used to put that together, but I think it was some sort of nuclear symbol I did a radial blur on. I decided not to use something more complicated, since I felt that if the characters were going back in time to a graphically simpler time, it would be fitting to use special effects that were also graphically simpler. Well, that and how many lens flares can a guy realistically use?
