Today's comic is another homage to the Back to the Future movies, playing off the scenes where Marty wakes up to find Lea Thompson's character standing over him, and he stammers about her being his mom. Well, except in the third movie, where he doesn't actually know who she is, much like Dr. Light here. After all, why would Dr. Light necessarily recognize either of the two robots? He's never seen X before, and while he might recognize Mega Man's face, he's never seen the Rush Adapter Suit, so it might be a completely different robot. So they might both look enough like Mega Man to intially confuse Dr. Light, once he gets a better look at them, he probably wouldn't have any idea who they are.
