If I haven't mentioned it already, the idea for Mynd's character came from a fan who emailed me and asked to be put into the comic. Since this was pretty early on, I agreed to it. He told me he wanted to be a purple recolor of Sigma, so that's what he became.
I should point out, however, that Mynd is not exactly a recolor of Sigma, and I'm not just talking about the fact that Mynd's sprite is missing a few of the pieces from Sigma's. I'm referring to the non-obvious height difference. As I I've mentioned before, in order to match the X-era sprites with rest of the 16-bit characters, I enlarge them 125%. I didn't do this with Mynd, so if Mynd were to encounter the real Sigma, Mynd would be just a bit smaller.
Anyway, as far as pronouncing Mynd's name, I've pretty much just assumed it was like mind.
Also, I like how Mynd is using the panel border to pull himself up, as well as the fact that Bob immediately found the light switch that Mynd was looking for.
