Frankly, I'm quite amazed I made it through this entire storyline with those silly Wily sprites. The only rationalization I could make was that maybe Dr. Wily's just the sort of slimy, wormy guy that's always slouching. Though, to be fair, it was some rather impressing sprite work at the time, especially for me.
