After the hand-drawn comics had utterly failed, at least in my mind, I was angry, mostly at myself. I had spent weeks going on and on about how great the hand-drawn comic was going to be, touting its supposed greatness to all the dozen or so readers, and then the whole thing blew up in my face. At least, that's how it felt at the time. I was completely unhappy with the way things had turned out, having rushed things and ruined the whole thing.

Not knowing what else to do, but still feeling some odd need to salvage the comic as a whole, I returned to the sprite comic filler. Given that the characters hadn't been terribly happy being in the comic to begin with, I imagined they would have been pretty pissed to find themselves back.

All things considered, though, I suppose it's probably better that the hand-drawn comic did fail. I doubt the comic would have become what it did, had I stuck with the hand-drawn comic. I mean, what's another hand-drawn comic about wacky adventures in college versus a comic that started a whole genre of webcomics?
