What better way to show the audience just how stupid Mega Man has become than having him fall into a large hole? In fact, why not make it exactly the same hole he fell into a few comics back? And since that was technically the "present", does that mean that the 16-bit Mega Man is even dumber than he used to be, considering he should've remembed that he'd fallen into that same hole before? You know, perhaps a better question is why Dr. Light even has a "Big Hole" just sitting there in his lab. Seems like a health hazard to me. Someone call OSHA.
