My reasoning here is that Mike landed on his back, with his shield taking the brunt of the blow for his torso and head, which was further cushioned by the helmet. His unprotected limbs probably all suffered multiple compound fractures, but the suit was strong enough to resist being punctured by protuding bone shards and tight enough to keep pressure on the wounds, preventing blood loss. By this point, they've probably healed to an extent, though since they were never set correctly, they'll probably never work right again. The pain was probably far beyond anything we can imagine. Isn't this a fun comic? Also, being able to talk to squirrels seems like the sort of ability Mike would have. |
