The Third Megaman Game | The End of Snake Man |

While it might be a little hypocritical to use lightning to kill Snake Man after showing that an EMP wouldn't harm him, keep in mind that the amount of charge flowing through lightning is several orders of magnitude higher than what you'd get from an EMP. And I know Spark Man's weapon doesn't really work that way, but much like how Magnet Man's weapon doesn't produce an EMP, Mega Man must have modified it a bit. That's Black Mage's hat from Final Fantasy I, by the way. And I tried to mimic the spell casting label from the Final Fantasy games. Also, in case you've been living under a rock, Mega Man's line in this comic is an allusion to that awful line from the first X-Men movie. Apparently Joss Whedon is credited with the line, but he argues that the line was delivered incorrectly, blaming it on Halle Berry's awful performance in that movie. While I'm not sure I believe him, you do have to give him credit for the classic Cyclops/Wolverine exchange: "Hey! It's me." "Prove it!" "You're a dick." "Okay." As mentioned in previous commentary, there was quite a commotion about how the EMP should have affected Snake Man, and I was trying to put a stop to it with Helmut. It mostly worked. |
