Since Dr. Light knew that the weapons cache was fake, he's obviously not concerned that it virtually blew up. I like, though, that Helmut has decided to continue the charade, probably planning to continue taking out the different characters one by one. After all, deception is easier than an all-out attack. Though, I don't know what he was planning to do if the real George showed up.
