First, Proto Man's not the sort to give up a chance to attack like that. Helmut told him to go ahead and he went right ahead. No sense talking about it. Second, Helmut lies a lot. Sort of. Third, this whole section of the storyline suffered from the fact that they're really way too close together. I probably should've zoomed things out and had them further apart.
